Anom-001, which we will henceforth refer to as "The Dream Wyrm", is an anomaly reported to exist across the whole of the United Kingdom. While many of the discovered anomalies are single entities, it is believed that there is a whole species of Dream Wyrms, with a population that stretches into Western Europe.

The first reported sightings of Dream Wyrms were in 1983, when Edinburgh citizens spotted strange shapes moving on the shoreline of the island of Vice Creek (see Anom-002 for more information about Vice Creek). While it was unknown what the shapes were at the time, it is now believed that this was the first appearance of the creatures.

Months later, the first Dream Wyrm appeared on a beach in Edinburgh where it began to attack people, leaving fourty-seven injured and three dead. Law enforcement was called, but the A.C.E. arrived on the scene first and managed to sedate the creature before it could do further harm. The Dream Wyrm was transported back to the A.C.E. facility for further study.

However, it was not long before it was discovered that there was a much larger population of Dream Wyrms still in the wild, and over time the existence of the creatures became public knowledge.

With there being too many to capture all of them and keep them out of the public eye for good, humanity eventually had no choice but to live alongside them.
