Be careful. They are everywhere.

A map of the island

Anom-002, which we will henceforth refer to as "Vice Creek", is a unique anomaly in the sense that it is not a living organism. Instead, Vice Creek is an island not far off the coast of Edinburgh in Scotland.

No surviving records of the island exist online, besides this entry on this website, meaning Vice Creek does not appear on any maps, and no photographs of the island can be found. While the island is clearly visible from Edinburgh due to its immense size, people who have attempted to photograph the island are met with the first unusual quality of Vice Creek; the island does not show up in photographs. A range of devices have been used in order to attempt to photograph the island, from infrared cameras to vintage cameras, but no attempts have been successful.

The only successful attempt at documenting the anomaly continues to be through written recordings, and drawings.

Since the beginning of the twentieth century, the people of Edinburgh have shared many stories of the island, such as claims that the island would sometimes disappear entirely, or that fantastical creatures could sometimes be seen on the island's coast. Many of these stories would refer to the island as "The Godless Island". These claims are yet to be confirmed.

The A.C.E. was first contacted about the anomaly in 1975, with the report explaining Vice Creek's extraordinary quality of not being able to show up in photographs and reiterating some of the stories about the island.

Upon arrival at the beach in Edinburgh that was in the closest vicinity to the island, the A.C.E. sent out a team of scientists to the island, maintaining contact with them through the use of radios. However, as the scientists were mere metres away from arriving on the island's shore, the A.C.E. members still in Edinburgh lost contact with them.

To this day, expeditions to the island are strictly prohibited, and Vice Creek has remained under close observation.
